Sunrise

Sunrise1

The reception room of Tjing Tjing is inspired by the morning colours of the African Sunrise.
An African morning sky floats upon the ceiling. It is a warm room with a cosy atmosphere
with the intention of inspiring the joy and peace of awaking to the day.

It is also a space which functions as a bar/café and space for dancing when the lights
go down. Here you can enjoy just a drink, South African snacks or the Day Dish.
You are also welcome for just a Rooibox tea or coffee and Melk Tert.

Artists are also welcome to exhibit in the space ensuring an ever changing sphere.

Here the idea is the setting sun where the night sky hangs on the ceiling
and stars that twinkle in the African sky. This ambient room is reserved mainly for the
restuarant, buffets, group diners, business meetings or designing your own dinner or
party theme. Decorated as a sitting room, it is able to transform from formal to informal,
small cabaret space or just to function as your own sitting room.

There is no party too big or too small, or theme that we will not try and
accomodate your imagination. Refer to banqueting to see how we can accomodate
you with parties, get-togethers, meetings or workshops.

Our prices and ideas are negotiable.
Feel free to visit for a viewing and estimation.

The Secret Garden

Secret Garden 2

The garden terrace is at the back of the café/restaurant.
Our garden is child and animal friendly.
Two large cherry trees, ivy, various climbing plants and a large red grapevine form the
centre of the garden while an old Chestnut tree towers above it all. The garden is a
perfect place to relax and forget that you're in the city.

The walls are a cool blue with touches of terra-cotta and yellow.
A large mural decorates a wall which misleads you into a greater space and forms a
perfect backdrop for photo's or any themed party. A raised wooden podium forms the
centre point of the garden in the summer for all types of festivities, storytellers
and intimate entertainers.

The sun hits the garden from early morning until late evening and provides for a place
of shade or hot hitting sun. This is an intimate garden for those that would like to
escape the hassle and bustle of city life.

It is here that we also hold our “braaivlees” in the hot summer months or on request
for one of your barbecue parties.
